Makeup pencils are used for defining your features.
Eye pencils define the eyes, making them look larger, more striking. You can change your look substantially with a smart application of eye pencil. The best eyeliner, in my opinion, is a really soft eye pencil like Maybelline soft pencil and Rimmel Soft Kohl Kajal Pencil.
How to apply eyeliner
If you want that sexy cat eyes look, kind of like the marilyn monroe eyeliner look, use a liquid eyeliner. Draw a thick black line just above your upper lash line and extend slightly, upwards, at the outer edges. Then use two coats of mascara. Make sure you separate the lashes after each application and let the mascara dry before applying the second application.
If you prefer the smoky eye look, line on your upper and lower lashline. Then use a fine brush and go over the line with a dark eyeshadow. Use mascara to complete the look.
Lip Liners
Lip pencils define the lips, making them more defined, and keeping the color from feathering. The old fashioned way is to outline your lips with lip liner.
For a long lasting lip color, you could color the entire lip with a lip pencil and then go over that with a lip gloss. That gives you kissable lips that last all day long. If you want a soft lip liner to fill your lips in, look no further than these lip crayons. They would line and fill in your lips beautifully.
Eyebrow pencils
Eye brow pencils define your eye brows which make your eyes look more striking. Before you begin, remove stray hairs under and above your eyebrows for a well groomed appearance. Then use a eyebrow styling gel and brush upwards to groom what's left. Tweezerman has what you need for that. For those with faint, barely there eye brows, these can really improve your looks. Use a hard eye brow pencil in a color as close to your eyebrow color as possible. Refrigerate the pencil first, if necessary. Sharpen the pencil to a fine point, then draw fine lines like individual hairs, to fill in sparse eyebrows.
